We are continuing our series on the Immutable Word of God. We have covered 3 unchangeable laws that impact our lives on a daily basis. The first law stated that God will never stop loving us, regardless of what we do. The second law said that we really can experience perfect peace in our lives. Law number three showed us how God has promised to guide our steps daily, and lead us through life’s journey.

Understanding the fourth law is extremely important to every Christian. We all struggle at times with the cares of life. Our need for security can lead us into worrying about the future. Even the strongest faith can be challenged by health problems, financial difficulties or strained relationships. Knowing our need to feel secure about these issues, God has made a tremendous promise regarding His provision and care for us. Like the other promises we have examined, this promise is also immutable. It is incapable of being changed.

The fourth law simply states that God will take care of every need in our lives. The Apostle Paul wrote to the church, “My God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” This promise means exactly what it says, and it is applicable in our lives today. God not only has a desire to meet all of our needs, He has the ability to do so. Notice, He promised to supply all of our need according to His riches. His ability to meet our needs has nothing to do with the current economic conditions in our country. He has not lost 1 cent in the stock market. His financial portfolio has not suffered because of the downturn in the housing market, or the banking industry. And He certainly is not in need of a government sponsored stimulus package.

Knowing, and truly believing, that God is not limited by any earthly circumstances, brings an assurance to our hearts and minds that He is totally in control. Personal situations may look hopeless, but with God all things are possible. He is never taken by surprise when difficult times come our way. If we will trust in His promise to supply all of our needs according to His riches, then all of our needs will be supplied. Nothing can alter that immutable fact. Praise God.
